Researchers of the NSF project “Measuring and Mapping IDR” project will make various presentations in the Science and Technology Indicators Conference to be held in Leiden (Netherlands) on September 8-11th 2010.

Ismael Rafols presents global maps of science

Ismael Rafols presents global maps of science in Paris. In March, TPAC Research Associate Ismael Rafols will be presenting his work with Alan Porter on global maps of science to a conference of European S&T indicators designers. The paper focused on uses of science maps in management and policy contexts.

TPAC at the 2009 Atlanta Conference

The Atlanta Conference was virtually a TPAC Homecoming. In the picture from left to right: Ravtosh Bal, Isabel Bortagaray, Sonia Gatchair, Kamau Bobb (top), Susan Cozzens (bottom), Gonzalo Ordonez, Pablo Catalan, Elena Berger, and Thomas Woodson.

Check the program for at least nine TPAC papers presented, including by alumnus Scott Cunningham. The paper on biosensors by Lu Huang, Alan Porter, and Ying Guo won the Best Graduate Student Paper award.
